Abstract

The present research aims to study the level of psychological hardiness among middle school teachers in light of the variables of gender and experience. We employed the descriptive approach in order to accomplish the study's objective. In an attempt to accomplish this, we will rely on the psychological hardiness scale developed by Prof. Dr. Bashir Maamria and Imad Muhammad Ahmed Mukhaimer in 2002 (2011, on the Algerian environment). The study is conducted At the Abdelmoumen Bin Ali Middle School in the province of Touggourt, specifically on a sample of (38) middle school teachers. The following results were obtained: Teachers in middle schools have a high level of psychological hardiness. Due to the two characteristics, the psychological hardiness of teachers did not differ statistically significantly ( gender, professional experience). Based on these findings, the study makes a number of recommendations, the most crucial of which is to run counseling and awareness programs for teachers across all educational levels (primary, intermediate, and secondary) to protect their psychological health and teach them how to handle issues at school and deal with work pressures.
