Abstract

The main objective of this study revolves around attempting to understand the significance of differences between locus of control, perceived psychological stress, and coping strategies among nurses. To validate these hypotheses, a purposive sample of 152 nurses, including 82 male nurses and 70 female nurses, aged between 22 and 53 years, was selected. The Rotter Locus of Control Scale, Cohen's Perceived Stress Scale, and Paulhan's Coping Strategies were administered to the sample individuals. After testing the research hypotheses, the following results were obtained:

- There are significant differences between individuals with an internal locus of control and those with an external locus of control in terms of perceived psychological stress.

- There are significant differences between individuals with an internal locus of control and those with an external locus of control in the use of coping strategies.
