Algerian Bank's Position on Adopting the Principles of Financial Governance

Abstract

This study uses data from the International Monetary Fund for the financial period from 2010 to 2020 to investigate the degree of Algerian banks' ability and adherence to the implementation of financial governance standards. The applied study used the analytical method, while the theoretical analysis used the inductive approach. The inductive approach was adopted in the theoretical study, while the applied study adopted the analytical approach. The study concluded There is a partial application of the principles of financial governance within Algerian bank's after the reforms carried out by the regulatory authorities in the financial sector in Algeria. The results showed that adherence to the principles of financial governance enhances the transparency of the financial statements of banks in particular and banking activity in general.
